This project was completed with sparks for the Optoelectronics Research Centre at Southampton University. We used processing to create 1500 unique designs which were collated as covers on an HP Indigo digital press. It’s the same technology that’s used to do personalisation for direct mailing.

Software

After deciding on simple compositional rules for the output a program was created that would produce designs as pdf documents. These were then processed and integrated into the final artwork.
